Junior DevOps Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer for a project in the telecommunications area.
The aim of this product that you will have to work on is to provide a unified frontend interface and backend architecture for the client’s various hardware testing management systems. Its users are the client’s hardware testing colleagues, engineers, and decision-makers.
The product is based on a microservice architecture, where the individual components represent the mentioned systems.
The team
You will join our consultant team with 6 members who work as a defined way of working. The team includes junior and mid-level colleagues, but there are also supporting seniors among the other actors of the project. Most of the team works remotely, but we meet at the Sigma office once a week, and it is also possible to join the client-side project members once a week on an optional basis. In terms of processes, task analysis, and estimation, if possible, support with tests and reviews after implementation are essential. The opportunity was also given for pair-working, thereby supporting mutual understanding and learning.

What will be your tasks in this team?
Configuration and deployment of software components
Maintenance and configuration of environments
Management of issues affecting infrastructure
Contact and consultation with the development and support teams and architects
Development of CI/CD processes
Development of system level monitoring
Preparing and keeping documentation describing the system and its operation up-to-date
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Strong user-lever knowledge of Linux
CI/CD experience (preferably Jenkins)
Basic knowledge of Bash and/or Python script language
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS, PERSONAL TRAITS, EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of Cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage
Knowledge of Git or Gerrit
Understand the basics and operation of SQL and MongoDB databases
Understanding of IP protocols and networking, cloud and firewall
Familiar microservice architecture and microservice solutions
