Family Description

Applied R&D (AR) consists of target-oriented research either with the goal of solving a particular problem / answering a specific question or for multi-discipline design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems including maintenance support. Supplies techno-economic consulting to clients. AR work is characterised by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development.

Subfamily Description

Integration, Verification & Testing (IVT) comprises the integration of SW and / or HW or system components into system, platform, product releases, or networks and verifies the integrated entity or network against particular requirements and specifications. Covers setup and maintenance of laboratory and associated equipment, tools, and devices.

 

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN


Our team responsibilities:

  • Build an end-to-end, cloud-based network using production software
  • Utilize simulators to generate mass traffic for comprehensive testing.
  • Deploy and integrate a complete 5G Core network, operating it as a customer to ensure continuous traffic flow.
  • Design and implement an RH OS-based platform to support all 5G Core software components.
  • Develop full automation processes for deployment, integration, and testing of Platform and 5G Core elements.
  • Develop test planning: Determine strategies for developing test plans for the upcoming release to incorporate solutions to identified problems. 
  • Create documentation: Generate comprehensive reports and documentation for the identified issues, including RCA/EDA findings. 
  • Foster collaboration: Collaborate closely with customer care teams, productization teams, and project managers to address support tickets effectively. 
  • Drive continuous improvement: Keep abreast of the latest developments in OCP standards and Kubernetes technologies to enhance testing strategies and blueprint configurations. 
  • Solve problems: Swiftly identify and resolve platform and hardware-related issues encountered during the support phase.

     

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering or related fields.
  • Some knowledge in telco architecture and their operating systems
  • Proven experience in testing complex system
  • Able to work with cloud and microservices (kubernetes, openstack/vmware, Azure) platform and/or with IT servers
  • Some years of Verification experience: scripting, simulators, test automation environment
  • Expertise in developing and executing detailed test plans and reports.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex sw and hardware issues.
  • Basic IP knowledge
  • Linux at least on basic level
  • In addition, candidates must have fluency in the English language (written and verbal) and willingness to travel.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
