Technical Writer Trainee
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
TECHNICAL WRITER ROLE
The Technical Writer designs, plans, coordinates, writes, and illustrates technical documentation and user guides in the NMP platform. These appear as in public-facing web-based publications for internal and external users; sometimes including Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) and various forms of multi-media.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- As a part of the NMP organization you will create user documentation for the education and usage of the NMP platform by the end users typically related to APIs, SDKs, and other technical components.
- The NMP teams design and develop innovative documentation solutions that enhance the customer experience and add value to our products.
- As a technical writer with a good command of the English language and excellent writing skills, your technical understanding as well as your interviewing and information gathering skills will prove invaluable, as you work together with technical experts on complex products.
- You will use your technical background and/or product knowledge to drive the redesign of the user documentation for NMP products, both from structure and content perspective
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• BSc/MSc degree preferably in computer engineering, information technology, telecommunications, or related field with experience in Git and Markdown.
• Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
• Substantial understanding of customer needs and requirements
• Proactive attitude; self-motivated personality; ability to cope with tight deadlines; working independently, as well as in local and global (virtual) teams
• Experience or capability in driving/coordinating moderately complex projects
• Ability to understand overall business situation and to interpret to own tasks and responsibilities
• Efficient information gathering skills
• Interested in technology topics
Preferred skills:
• Relevant experience in technical communication
• Git and Markdown
• Rich Media and interactive user documentation creation expertise
• Software testing background is a plus
